Hey,

First, I loved your Flare podcasts (both of them!); thanks for providing them.

I've successfully integrated my Flare project with my SVN repository using the software from PushOK (a Russian company, which may account for some of the misspellings and such). It wasn't easy, or intuitive, and I also wish Flare had considered direct support for some of the most common source control systems. However, I suspect that the alliance with Microsoft-based products has to do with the Microsoft Showcase certification or something.

Anyway, I did want you to know that it is possible to connect Flare to SVN because I've done it. However, I do wish it were easier and better documented. You really are on your own, and the dialog boxes are quite cryptic.

(Disclaimer: I'm an MVP in the MadCap forums; a volunteer forum moderator, but not a MadCap employee.)
